Demand forecasting — when something runs out, and how much to order
The system watches how fast each item leaves the shelf. If Panadol goes out at twenty boxes a week and you have forty, you have two weeks — and it tells you that before the shelf is empty, not after a customer asks. It also works out how much will last until the next delivery arrives, so you are neither tying up money in stock that sits nor running dry on something people keep asking for.
Useful for: purchase orders, cash tied up in stock, items that keep running out.
